Toilet Bidet And Its Replacing Technique

In the recent years, bidet has acquired quick recognition over the conventional toilets. A bidet is a bathroom fountain that sprays water on your private areas to clean bacteria away. The set up is highly praised because of its high degree of hygiene.

However, bidet unit too is susceptible to plumbing problems. Few plumbing problems associated with the bidet are getting a hammering effect when the bidet is turned on. Also, at many times the mixing valve of the bidet unit often witnesses faults and irregularities. The main causes for a faulty bidet are leaks, a blown gasket or a dirty filter. Filters typically last from six to nine months before needing replacement.

With little irregularities, one can opt to repair the bidet segment instead of replacing it with entirely new one. Well, this is most economical approach. However, in certain conditions, none other option works but to replace the bidet.

Having turned of the water to the existing bidet, dissociate the pipelines. Gently loosen and remove the water lines from the existing bidet with a crescent wrench. Be cautious, do not deteriorate the outlet pipe.

Line up the new bidet or sink in the existing footprint. Connect the outlet pipe and ensure that is properly fastened. Put on the water supply and check for leaks. Re- tighten the pipes and fittings if needed.

As an added measure of security when reconnecting water lines, use a small amount of Teflon tape on the threaded portion of the connector.
