. Before staring the job, cut off the water supply to that particular toilet. In order to move the bowl from its place, open fasteners from it and displace it to a safer place. No foreign items fall into the soil pipe and block it. Prevent this by stuffing it with some gunny bag or rags etc.
Scratch the old wax and do away with bolts from the floor flange. Clean the flange and replace if it is found to be broken. Put the bolts and the brash washers into the flange collar slot ensuring the threaded part is kept upward. Some wax is then applied all over the flange ring and we lower the commode over it. Ensure that flange bolts are properly aligned to the holes in the toilets.
Having placed, the seat over the wax, press it downwards allowing it to accurately rest on the floor. Additionally, secure the commode with the appropriate fasteners. Further, tighten it using the wrench. Over tightening may crevice the porcelain toilet.
Cut off the excess bolts from the nuts using a hacksaw. Seal the toilet with the caulk. Also, install the toilet tank over the toilet and secure it with the screws. Cover the bolt ends with the plastic caps with the plumber’s putty.
Make connections between the toilet and water supply. For that, a flexible pipe should be connected to the shut off valve. Also, a similar connection is to be made for the supply stub at the bottom. Inspect your installation process after confirming that putty has dried up, by simply turning on the water supply.
